The Band

Starting the band in Norwich in 1984 was a really stupid, born-to-fail thing to do. We had no money, no phone, no car, no equipement, no songs and we weren't any good. The whole idea also had a negative side.

The only recording studio in Norwich was 'The 'Kitchen' which was run from a dingy basement near the market place in the center of the city. There, we recorded a few horrible demos which had horrible reviews in horrible papers. Everything was horrible and great woe was all around.

The early demos didn't change the world, in fact they had no effect on it at all. We rocketed from anonymity to obscurity without even leaving town. Obviously we had to make an album.
