Deciding
which songs were going on the album was easy, all of them because
we only had eight. My dad painted the cover illustration in an hour.
The colorful love-doll nun caught the eye of Tommy Vance (BBC Radio
1) who loved the album and gave us nationwide airplay. |

The
proofs looked great but the final printed covers were a total disgrace.
Each 'copy' was different, various colors had splashed onto the
white boundary, the colors had no lustre and most of the sleeves
were split along the spine. Little did we know they were destined
to become collector's items. |

The
first pressing of the vinyl was a disaster too. The album was so
loud that the grooves actually crossed over each other such that
the needle could come out in a different part of the song. The nerdy
engineer in the pressing plant almost cried for his mother. He'd
ever seen that in his entire career. |

Now
we knew 'Nine Inches of God' was going to be a metal classic. |
