When you hear a noise in the night,
on the corner of the stair that's just out of sight,
Oh it's easy to say it's only fear that plays on your mind.
But what if shadows slip from their mould
and you feel their fingers in a strangle hold?
Will you say it's a trick of the flickering light of the fire?
Will you run, will you squeal,
when you're nailed to the burning wheel?
When the nightmare is real....
When you wake, alone in the dark
and the sound you hear is the fear in your heart,
it's an evil thing (a bell) that rings on your grave.
Then the dark seems to stick on your skin
you can't get it off you and you can't let it in
and all the voices cry, "It's time to die for your sin"

When will I fly to the promised-land?

Now the demons move in for attack.
They tear off your head (so you can't put it back)
And in the fiery furn’ you always burn
– then you get ripped on the rack!
Then you'll scream like no man can scream.
You're living in the nightmare, it isn't a dream.
When you're frying in hell, it's easy to tell from the screams
